Do I Need Dental Treatment

Am I a Candidate for Dental Treatment (Even if I don’t have Pain?)

Due to lack of awareness and fear of dentistry, we usually avoid going to dentist and in terms increases our dental problems. Golden rule of Thumb is, you should get them treated as soon as you detect them. So once in 6 months visit to Dentist is recommended.

If You Have…..

  • Pain and/or swelling in Teeth or Gums,
  • Black Spots or hole on teeth with or without pain
  • Sensitivity to Hot or Cold,

Then you might be having Dental Caries             

 

  • Redness in Gums
  • Bleeding from gums on brushing
  • Swollen gums
  • One or More Loose Teeth
  • Foul smell from mouth or Oral ulcers,

Then You Might be having Gums Problems like Gingivitis or Pyorrhea.

 

If you are pregnant (For Female) – Gums problems are common during pregnancy both due to hormonal changes and negligence of personal Oral Hygiene.

 

  • One or More Missing Teeth

Then you might need to get them replaced asap.

 

  • Irregular or Crowded Teeth
  • Unpleasant ugly looking teeth
  • Teeth coming out of mouth
  • Inability to close lips completely
  • Spacing between teeth
  • Kid’s Permanent teeth are coming behind milk teeth
  • Cleft in the Lip or Palate
  • Protruding Chin
  • Small Chin

Then you might be candidate for Braces or Orthopedic Appliances

 

Habits like –

  • Mouth Breathing
  • Thumb Sucking
  • Lip Biting
  • Nail Biting

These habits can affect your facial appearance
